Privacy Policy

Last updated 27 September 2026

Glasshour helps you spend less time in distracting apps. It is built so that almost everything stays on your iPhone. There is no account, and we never learn who you are.

This policy covers the Glasshour app for iPhone. Glasshour is made by Shaurya Goel, an individual developer (“we”, “us”), who is responsible for the data described here.

What stays on your iPhone

What we collect

To find problems and understand which parts of the app people use, the app sends:

These are tied only to a random identifier created when the app is installed, which resets if you reinstall. They are not linked to your name, email address, Apple Account or any other identity. They are not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and never for advertising. Screenshots and screen recordings are never captured. None of the on-device data listed above is included, and nothing you type is ever sent.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Apple. We never receive your name, Apple Account or payment details. To confirm that your membership is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives your purchase history from Apple (which plan you have and when it renews or ends). RevenueCat stores this under the same random identifier, not under your identity.

Who processes the data

Sentry (crash reports), PostHog (usage events) and RevenueCat (purchase status) process this data on our behalf, on servers in the United States. We use it only to run and improve Glasshour. We do not sell or share it, and we do not use it for advertising. Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days and usage events for up to one year.

Notifications

Reminders and session notices are scheduled on your iPhone itself. You can turn them off at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Children

Glasshour is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your choices and rights

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. If a change is significant, we will also mention it in the app.
